4. Juli 1954 Das Wunder von Bern ist gerade geschafft und wie damals noch üblich wird die Nationalhymne des Siegers intoniert. Begeistert singen die deutschen Schlachtenbummler mit. Allerdings singen sie die falsche 1. und nicht die richtige 3. Strophe, die den meisten 5 Jahre nach Gründung der Bundesrepublik nicht bekannt gewesen sein dürfte. Die Schweizer sind auf jeden Fall Not amused und so beenden sie kurzerhand die Liveübertragung. Das die 1. Strophe zu diesem Zeitpunkt noch Teil der Nationalhymne ist, auch wenn zu offiziellen Anlässen nur die 3. Strophe gesungen wird, spielt keine Rolle. 9 Jahre nach dem Krieg ist den Schweizer das Verhalten der Deutschen unheimlich
16. Juni 2008. Wien. Deutschland – Österreich steht an und als besonderen Service bietet das Schweizer Fernsehen im Videotext die Hymne zum Mitsingen an. Die beiden mit Recherche beauftragten Redakteure haben ganze Arbeit geleistet und die 1. Strophe vom Lied der Deutschen eingestellt. Diese ist aber seit 1990 nicht mehr Bestandteil der Nationalhymne. Das 60 Jahre nach Gründung der Bundesrepublik man in der Schweiz bei Recherchen nicht rausfindet, daß “Deutschland, Deutschland über alles!” nicht mehr von uns gesungen wird, ist mir unheimlich.
