Bei der WM 2006 musste man die guten Spiele mit der Lupe suchen. Bei der Euro jagt ein Highlight das nächste. Türkei Schweiz ein Spiel nichts für schwache Nerven, zwei Tage später Italien Rumänien und kaum vorbei Niederlande Frankreich und während wir noch von den fliegenden Holländer schwärmen, schlägt die Türkei im nächsten Herzschlagfinale die Tschechen nach 0:2 Rückstand 3:2. Wie schon gegen die Schweiz versuchte Tschechien das Spiel über die Zeit zu schaukeln, aber das geht aber bei dieser EM nicht. Die Türkei die schon gegen die Schweiz zurückgekommen sind, drehten auch hier dieses Spiel. Tschechien wähnte sich schon im Viertelfinale zog sich zurück und verlor am Ende alles. Cech einer der weltbesten Torhüter mutierte zum tragischen Held, vorher mit einer Serie von guten Aktionen patzt und die Türkei kommt zum Ausgleich und dann zwei Minuten zur Führung.
Jeder denkt das muß es doch jetzt gewesen sein, aber dann gehen Volkan die Nerven durch und bekommt zu Recht Rot. Da die Türkei schon dreimal gewechselt haben muß jetzt ein Feldspieler ins Tor, aber die Tschechen können diesen Vorteil nicht nutzen.
