Dies sind die Paarungen für das Halbfinale und beide Paarungen haben eine interessante Geschichte.
Das einzige Aufeinandertreffen zwischen Deutschland und Türkei bei einem großen Turnier war bei der WM…in der Schweiz. Deutschland gewann 4:1 und 7:2 und warf die favorisierten Türken aus dem Turnier.
Russland Spanien wartet da noch mit einer ganz anderen Brisanz auf, sind aber fast genauso lange her.
Bei der ersten Europameisterschaft 1960 trafen die beiden Mannschaften im Viertelfinale aufeinander. Die Spiele wurden damals mit Hin- und Rückspiel ausgetragen, aber der faschistische Diktator Franco verbot den Nationalspielern nach Moskau zu fliegen.
1964 schlug Spanien die Udssr im EM Endspiel 2:1 und wurde zum einzigen mal Europameister.
Die ist interessiert jetzt aber keinen mehr. Die Türkei mit großen Personalproblemen vier Spieler gesperrt und diverse andere verletzt, ist die Überraschungsmannschaft des Turniers und die Comback Kids. Drei Spiele noch gedreht davon eines sogar mit zwei Toren Rückstand. Allerdings ist das auch die Spezialität von deutschen Teams und einen zwei Tore Vorsprung hat Deutschland bei einem Turnier noch nie verspielt.
Spanien muß mehr Zielstrebigkeit vor dem gegnerischen Tor entwicklen sonst werden sie von Russland in Grund und Boden gespielt, da sie im Spiel zurück doch Schwächen gezeigt hatten.
